Project Description

St. Joseph’s Primary School is situated at Tweed Heads South. Design Team Ink prepared concept design and construction documentation for the upgrading of the school exterior in concert with Architectural renovations and additions.

The landscape design includes a large robust hard court space marked up for various ball games.  Between the buildings and on the edge of the hardstand is a textured pavement surface which collects and directs drainage and is symbolic of the Tweed River.  Trees and gardens of low maintenance and durable native strap leaf plants follow the curvilinear paving mimicking the river banks and provide shade and texture to the space.
Vege patches and water tanks were added to allow the children to engage in food production.   From what I hear, the kids love it.
