This place activation project has been instigated in response to the shared visions of the Byron Bay Arts and Industrial
Estate Precinct Plan.  The Pocket Park, a key action from the plan was designed with community input by Design Team Ink for Byron Shire Council as a multi-purpose green space to support the busy business and residential community and also as space for ‘place activation’ events such as ‘Springtime Play @ the Pocket Park’ – a series of lunchtime circus, music and visual arts events for children.  The concept repurposes materials and items found at Council’s depot to create a green pocket in a busy industrial precinct.  The park was constructed with a very small budget.
